Scholarship Opportunities

Scholarships for New Freshmen

We believe that cost should never be a barrier to a great education. Counselors in our Financial Aid Office are dedicated to helping you with each step of the financial aid process so you can easily find ways to help fund your education.

 

Franciscan Heritage Scholarships

Renewable each year and awarded to incoming freshmen based on high school GPA and ACT/SAT scores. All students who meet the minimum requirements receive this scholarship or grant at one of five levels.
  • Trustee's Scholarship: $16,000 per year
  • President's Scholarship: $14,500 per year
  • Dean's Scholarship: $13,000 per year
  • Merit Scholarship: $10,000 per year
  • Opportunity Grant: $5,000 per year

 

Boys & Girls Clubs Scholarship

Current club members enrolling in a traditional bachelor's degree program receive this $1,000 scholarship, which is included in the student's financial aid package. We are extending this scholarship to parents of club members, and employees, who are seeking a daytime bachelor's degree to help improve access to a high-quality and affordable education.

 

Campus Visit Grant

Awarded to incoming freshmen who make an official visit to campus between June 1, 2016 and May 1, 2017. An official visit is one arranged with the admissions office, a coach, faculty member, or another official representative of the University. In addition to visiting campus, an eligible student must gain acceptance and enroll full-time.

  • $500 per year, renewable

 

Flahive Athletic Scholarship

Awarded to incoming freshmen and transfer students competing as part of one of our intercollegiate athletic teams. Renewable.

 

Honors Scholarships

Awarded to incoming freshmen who demonstrate exemplary academic achievement. Students who have been awarded the Trustee's Level Franciscan Heritage Scholarship will be invited to campus to compete for an Honors Scholarship.
 

Franciscan Servant Scholars Scholarship

Awarded to incoming freshmen and transfer students who demonstrate involvement in volunteer and community service activities. Renewable.
 

International Student Scholarship

Awarded to select incoming international (non-U.S. citizen) freshmen and transfer students.

  • $3,000 per year, renewable

 

Legacy Scholarship

Awarded to incoming freshmen and transfer students who have an immediate family member who graduated from or currently attends Cardinal Stritch University.
  • $1500 per year, renewable

 

Performing Arts Scholarship

Awarded to incoming freshmen and transfer non-theater majors who demonstrate an ability in music and/or theater. Renewable.

 

Timothy M. Dolan Scholarship

Awarded to incoming freshmen who have graduated from a Catholic high school.

  • $1,750 per year, renewable

 

Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship

Awarded to incoming freshmen and transfer students majoring in the fine arts; eligibility is based on academic department and university admission requirements. Renewable.
 

Institutional Need-Based Aid

The following funds are for traditional undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA. Students need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to be considered for these funds.

Stritch Grant
The Stritch Grant is awarded to daytime undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need. The amount of the grant will vary on financial need and is renewable as long as financial need is still demonstrated.

Stritch Residency Grant
Awarded to daytime undergraduate students who live on campus and demonstrate financial need. The amount of the grant will vary on financial need and is renewable as long as financial need is still demonstrated along with the student remaining to reside on campus.

Stritch Military Grant
Awarded to full-time undergraduate students who are in active duty or have proof of an honorable discharge, and to students who are married to an individual currently deployed. Eligible students can receive up to a 25% tuition discount.
 

Scholarships for Daytime Transfer Students

Tuition for the RN to BSN, Respiratory Therapy Completion or undergraduate evening/online business programs is already discounted. Students enrolled in those programs will not receive additional university-funded scholarships.

 

Transfer Student Scholarships

Eligibility is determined by your cumulative transfer GPA. These scholarships are renewable each year and are awarded to transfer students in daytime bachelor's degree programs who have attempted at least 12 credits before attending Stritch.
  • Serra Transfer Scholarship: $12,000 per year (minimum 3.0 cumulative transfer GPA)
  • St. Bonaventure Transfer Scholarship: $10,000 per year (2.5-2.999 cumulative transfer GPA)
  • Transfer Student Opportunity Grant: $5,000 per year (2.0-2.499 cumulative transfer GPA)

 

International Student Scholarship

Awarded to select incoming international (non-U.S. citizen) freshmen and transfer students.
  • $3,000 per year, renewable

 

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

Automatically awarded to all incoming transfer students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
  • $3,000 per year, renewable

 

Legacy Scholarship

Awarded to incoming freshmen and transfer students who have an immediate family member who graduated from or currently attends Cardinal Stritch University.

UMOS Tuition Discount

Decide to start your program at UMOS and receive a 20% tuition discount. Take courses focusing on general business management and leadership to begin either the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or a Bachelor of Science in Management program. After successfully completing the first four classes students will continue their degree program on campus or online.

  2. All degree programs at Cardinal Stritch University are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association. Programs in the College of Business and Management also have additional accreditation by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs which might be beneficial for reimbursement.
 

 

Tuition Discounts for Graduate Students

Ruth S. Coleman College of Nursing & Health Sciences Scholarship

Graduates of our undergraduate nursing programs are eligible for this scholarship upon enrolling for the Master of Science in Nursing. Submit your application for admission to begin the process.


College of Education and Leadership Discount

Educators and administrators from select districts and schools are eligible for a 20% discount on published tuition. This offer is available to new full-time students who begin select degree programs in the College of Education and Leadership. Current Cardinal Stritch University students who first enrolled in or before January 2016 are not eligible. This exclusive discount cannot be combined with other scholarships or discounts offered by the University.

Available to full time or part-time teachers and administrators at Catholic primary or secondary schools in Wisconsin. This 50% discount on published tuition applies to these programs:
